A Successful Empty Bowls Fundraiser!
Thanks to the Alexandria community who helped to raise more than $47,000 for ALIVE!’s food programs at the Empty Bowls Alexandria event on November 12, 2016.
More than 170 members of the community attended ALIVE!’s second Empty Bowls fundraiser on Saturday, November 12th. Each attendee selected a handmade bowl donated by the Northern Virginia Community College Alexandria Fine Arts Department and the Alexandria Clay Co-op Studio.
Check out the 15 restaurants that participated in providing the meal of soup, bread and dessertwith a special addition this year of barbecue sliders! Their support and generosity of their diverse contributions made it a fun meal for all.
