Sunday, May 2, 2010, ALIVE! will hold its 29th annual Step ALIVE! Walkathon.
Walkers from the ALIVE! congregations and the Alexandria community will gather at the
First Christian Church, 2723 King Street, at 1:30 PM for a 5-mile walk through Old Town.
We’ll enjoy entertainment on the Market Square Plaza during the walk and a picnic immediately
following the walk back at First Christian Church. 
Registration fees are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and youth. (There is no cost for
children under 12.) Walkers are encouraged to raise additional funds through pledges of support
from friends, family and associates. A pledge form and additional information about the event are available here or by phone at 703-837-9321.
Funds raised go to support the ALIVE! Child Development Center (CDC)—a full-day
preschool for low-income families in Alexandria. We can all be proud of the CDC which
just received a 4-star rating from Virginia’s new early childhood education quality
rating program—the highest rating awarded to date!
