As you know, it takes a huge team to make sure these weekend food distributions events run smoothly! This month, we provided groceries to nearly 4,000 families in Alexandria at the Food Hub, pop-up distributions and the weekend events.

If you’re looking to get involved we are looking for volunteers for some of the upcoming September food distributions events. Our greatest need is at the last Saturday events helping out with parking, and handing out groceries at each of the three locations.

Thank you to the 25 high school and middle school students who cleaned up the ALIVE! office playground, and at the Bus Barn. These activities were organized by Volunteer Alexandria and the before and after photos help show the incredible transformation!
Also, a very special shout out to the 50 6th to 12th graders from St. Stephens and St. Agnes School who joined the ALIVE! team at the Bus Barn throughout August to helped us get ready for the month’s food distributions.
Finally, the members of Team Gray have been pitching in to help all month long! From handing out food at ALIVE!’s weekly pop-up events, to sorting and bagging donations at the Bus Barn, and filling key roles at the Last Saturday food distributions. Thank you!
The StepALIVE! Walkathon is Back!
For 41 years, community has gathered together to support ALIVE! with a walk through Alexandria.
This year, we are going to be meeting on Sunday, October 16th for StepALIVE! and we need your help.
