Last year, ALIVE! distributed 1.7 million meals worth of groceries, and half of all the food provided by ALIVE! comes from food drives or from community donations. By donating food, you help ALIVE! use its funds to purchase essential items like fresh produce, halal meat, eggs, and other nutritious foods that are often in high demand. Give Financially to ALIVE! and Help Support Our Work
Contributing financially helps ensure that ALIVE! has the resources to purchase items that aren’t covered through donations, and supports the logistical core that collects donations, stores items, and delivers groceries and other daily essentials to where they are needed the most.
How can DASH Riders Access ALIVE! services?
ALIVE! distributes food and other necessities through Food Hubs at set locations, as well as food distributions at rotating locations and times. ALIVE! provides services to Alexandria residents, and clients may be asked to provide proof that they live in Alexandria. Several of ALIVE!’s food distribution locations and Food Hubs are accessible via free and frequent DASH bus service.
