Volunteer Alexandria’s Second Annual City Wide Food Drive for ALIVE!
Hunger doesn’t take a summer break and food insecurity continues for many families in our community. All month long, ALIVE! is partnering with Volunteer Alexandria to collect 30,000 pounds of food for our neighbors in need. Thank you to the sponsors of this food drive: Passport Auto Group, Lisa Groover, Real Estate, United Bank, Fitness Together, the Kiwanis Club of Alexandria, Harris Teeter, Wegmans, and the Zebra Press.
Throughout the month of July, participants can visit any of the 21 collection boxes to donate food, and volunteers will transport these items to the ALIVE! warehouse.
Most Needed Items (No Glass Containers Please):
canned meats, fruits, veggies
cooking oil and peanut butter in plastic jars
ready-to-eat non-perishable kids meals.
